Alan Mackenzie

Alan is a freelance leadership consultant and adviser. His focus is on securing real achievements through developing the people in the Company. He specialises in developing great leadership teams, accelerating talent, and building a genuine learning culture. As an Adviser to the Broadcast Equality and Training Regulator from 2007-2011, he helped pilot and develop the self-evaluation processes for the industry and carried out four years of validation visits to assist Broadcasters with improvement and skills development strategies, as well as writing case studies and contributing to conference workshops . He has spent many years as an Adviser to PricewaterhouseCoopers on strategic reviews and change management exercises, and is also an Associate with the National College for School Leadership – working with identified teaching Schools in the Bristol & Bath areas and as a specialist in talent development and new models of leadership.

Alan is a team coach and facilitator, specialist adviser for performance review, and a former registered Adviser for Investors in People UK. In this role, he advised and guided businesses to secure recognition as an’ Investor’ –and developing further stretch in successful organisations – all focused on achieving business objectives through people – including initial diagnostic assessment, developing strategies to improve performance, identifying skills strengths, gaps and development needs, supporting action and implementation, and evaluating impact.
