Dr Gillian Shapiro Diversity lead partner

Before going commercial Gillian was a senior researcher at the Centre for Research in Innovation Management at the University of Brighton. Here she conducted some ground breaking research into how positively managing employee diversity can act as an essential element in supporting workplace innovation and employee engagement. Her PhD research focused on women progressing senior managerial careers. She has also published sponsored research. As a consultant, Gillian has worked with a number of different organisations in the public and private sectors in the UK and across Europe. She has worked closely with senior management teams helping them establish how to draw strategic advantage from inclusion & diversity and improve their performance on equality and diversity. Gillian is a qualified executive coach; a Board member of the UK Work Organisation Network (UKWON) and founder of Shapiro Consulting Ltd.
